About what period in the war do you get radio reports from Bdu? I'm in October of 1940, and get no reports other than congratulations back after sending a report after a ship sinking. I haven't received an independent report from Bdu on anything unless I send a report,; no updates from Bdu on anything, i.e., convoys spotted, change patrol areas, alert to mines, etc.

How should the BdU know on his own where you are and where enemy mines are? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You only get messages about convoys if you are relatively near to one, so stay near the convoy lanes.

Yep, a huge flaw in gameplay terms which I hope gets patched sometime soon. For some reason the radio is quiet, in Aces of the Deep it added quite a bit to the dynamic feel to the campaign.

You do get BdU messages concerning convoys in SH3 but you have to be in the correct area, as in west of Britain for instance. They only get displayed on the map if you've got god's eye mode on. Don't really understand why, since messages by BdU should give exact positions on last sightings thus reducing them to mere grid positions is a little odd.

Actually they do appear on the map even with gods eye mode off.

Lovo, I'm sure you've seen it in the movies, crack German intelligence agents operating in England or near Allied ports sending imformation on enemy activity at their ports back to the Fatherland, the info is conveyed back to Bdu. Or another source could be from other U-Boats who report back sighting mines, subnets, etc. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
