View Full Version : Maybe it's a good idea they left the Yeti out (for now)

I was just looking through the Heroes 5 manual made by the guys at AoH and came across the neutral creatures section. On it they have the stats for the Yeti that we were supposed to get, but for some reason (still unknown to everyone), was left out.

After seeing the stats, all I can say is maybe it's good that they did leave it out (for now).
This is what we would have seen.

Yeti
-----
Attack - 8
Defense - 6
Damage - 6-12
Hit Points - 40 (WHAT?!?!)
Speed - 5
Initiative - 11
# / Week - 5
Cost - 350

These stats are pathetic. A Yeti is a huge beast, kinda like a snow behemoth. They should have stats rivaling some of the Level 6 or 7 units. Instead, these stats put them on level with most Level 3 & 4 units.

Note to Ubi and Nival: We still want to see the Yeti in the game (hint, hint, next patch) since this game is definitely lacking in neutral units, but you seriously need to increase those stats. About the only stat that was acceptable was the 11 for Initiative. Everything else was way too low. What you planned to release it as will make it an absolute joke.

Please work on this as we most definitely need more neutrals in the game.

WIP (work in progress?) or not, if you don't make sure to tell these people that something doesn't work (i.e. the 8x10 battlefield, Luck & Morale, Landmines that can easily fill the battlefield, the Sprite's Wasp Swarm problem early on, etc.) they won't bother to change it on their own.

Yea.. at the very least they should be a lvl 5 unit, no less.

It should be a level 5 unit...because it's called a yeti?

Well I think the awesome and powerful magic wielding sprite should be a level 5 unit with stats to match.

Did the Yeti have any special abilities?

Unlimited retaliation and Agility (for the next turn, this creature gains a +30% Defense bonus for every tile it walks).

Decent abilities, but they won't mean squat if the creature can't even survive with it's lowly stats.
