View Full Version : How to do a custom Pilot face

Hi,
I was wondering what the best way is to add in a custom face for a pilot.
The default faces are very clear and have good resolution.
When I try to paste one in, it ends up being like a 256 color and crappy resolution.
Any tips on how to do a good custom pilot face in FB?

That is becauseyour picture has more colors and/or other colors then mapped in the 256 color pallette of the pilot skin.

Change the skin to RGB/32 bit colors first.
Then paste your pic into it and reduce the pallette to 256 colors again. Now 256 new good fitting colors will be used for the new pilot skin.
Toy with some of the options you have while converting the image to 256 colors, to get the best results.
