I played RUSE in beta, but it required an always on stable internet connection. It caused a lot of problems if you simply d/c from there servers for even a moment like C&C4 (Fail game BTW)

I was not in the least bit interested with that gotta be connected to there servers at all time even though I paid for my game to OWN it.

I just wanna know if it's still like this or not. I thought RUSE was very good and worth buying, but I just can't see paying $50+ and not being able to play when ever I want.

Ruse uses the steam cloud as it's DRM, so you are not required to stay connected at all times. This means you can play through single-player, challenges, while not connected; However like all games you will need to connect in order to play multi-player games where all the fun is at. Trying to stay connected however is a problem you encounter more often than the other.

It never did, it used Steam's DRM the entire time.

Assassin's Creed 2 was the one needing the permanent internet.
