Everything I've heard about FC2 sounds awesome except for the weather that changes to suit the player's mood (ie. overcast/rainy when defeated, clear skies when victorious).
I think the weather should be a gameplay element rather than a mood-setting device. I hope you don't have to play poorly to see storms and rain, it should be random. In the same way, I don't wanna be struggling through all the hard bits in overcast gloomy weather or I'll just feel like giving up. Mood-setting weather sounds like a gimmick. Please reconsider this feature, Ubisoft. Is anyone else concerned?

Got to agree...
Well handled weather effects would enhance realism and replayability, "Mood weather" on the other hand seems a little tacky tbh.

I agree. Sounds like a bad idea. But...why not just make it a feature you can choose, for those that enjoy it. So that you can choose between random/following a script and "mood weather".

Well, I just think it should be set on random but, it was be kinda weird when your in mid battle and it turns stormy. But hey, who knows, i just dont rly think depending on how good you are should reflect on the weather.

That was my first reaction too, everything was sounding so good until the voodoo weather bit. Dynamic Day/Night cycles are becoming more common, but this is a step backward in the evolution of gaming realism. I can just see myself gaming on a day when my eyes are tired and I'm not feeling as quick and agile as usual, then the bad weather kicks in on top of it. Seems it would just add frustration rather than suspense. I suppose they may not have even considered as well that the weather effects worsening while a lot of AI shooting is taking place could easily add lag on some systems that barely meet the requirement causing further problems dealing with the enemy. We can only hope Tweakguides.com will show us a way to deactivate voodoo weather if possible.
