Just got game on Steam and i am enjoying it

As i totaly loved Eric Chahi's Another World on my rusty Amiga i preordered this his new game in moment it it was available on Steam. I am Populous lover and i didnt expected same gameplay at all and anyway i am enjoying this little game a lot. Not much today new games keeps me in front of PC for that long time nonstop "just another level and then i go to bed" From Dust has this magic. I downloaded it at 20:00 and now here its 4:20 and i am really tired and happy from my level 10 progress. This game isnt perfect but have magic that keeps me in front of it. Controls arent so bad afer all. I dont have any problem to run it. I have 60 FPS setting in options. It dosent crash for me. I can live with UBI launcher. Actualy i got used with it after Silent Hunter 5 fiasco. Please give this game a chance. Its not Populous. Its have its own magic. It can be sort of sandbox if you play it like that. You can solve each level (later ones maybe, as first ones are sort of tutorial) in so many different ways. I had great time with it yet. My 15 EUR was spent in good way. I got more fun for average price of two cinema tickets. Sorry for my english (czechglish), not native. Hope even with my evil gramar it pass message thru.

I would say you're kacking, or that everyone forgot to mention that you can change the FPS cap. This is, in fact, one of the most consistent complaints: The game is capped at the unconscionably-low 30 FPS and you can NOT change.

Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

Hmm i can change FPS if i set my native res 1680x1050. It works for one back resolution. It is disabled when i set next lower resolution 1440x900. Dunno if its bug or something else. As i said i do not have prob to have it set to 60. Maybe i am just lucky that on my setup it works ok. Sure if a lot of ppl have probs it should be patched. I just wanted share bit positive gameplay feedback i had.

There's a difference between REFRESH rate and FRAME rate.

Trust me, the game's capped at 30 FPS no matter what refresh rate you select.

Ahh ok, i dindt noticed game engine is limited internaly to 30 fps. Interesting.

Hehe, yeah. To be honnest not worst console port. Try run Oddworld inhabitants ports of both Oddworld origninal Xbox game to feel real pain.
