Hi,
we, Lek][Studios, want to present you our Far-Cry Modding project today, and we are still looking for help.

I'm talking of a multiplayershooter, called "Resident Evil Biohazard Controlled".
As the name does already say, it will take place in the world of Resident Evil (the games as well as the movies). Various game modes are planned such as Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch or Capture the Flag.

However the focus is lying on cooperative game modes like "Hold the line" or CSAR, where one Team is considered to survive while the other one is fighting it's way to them as a Rescue Team.

The main enemy is going to be the "common carrier" also called zombie.
The maps will mainly take place in Urban terrain, research facilities or the well know, Resident Evil like, "Mansion". Therefore it might be necessary to design every single object in the Mod ourselves, as Far Cry takes place on an island. Like in this saying:
"It's an Island. What you don't bring there, you won't find there."

For his missions the player will be equipt with state of the art technologies.
At the moment there about 7 to 8 complete new weapons planned, as well as other equipment such as first aid kit and antivenom.
As said before we badly need new Team members, "we" means at the moment two people and of course this is not enough for a total conversation. So we are looking for members in all lines:
Mapping, Moddeling, Scripter/coder, musik, webdesign, 2d artists. We can need nearly everybody and everthing. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

We also hope to be able to construct a home page as soon as possible.
Please contact us per PN, in this Tread, or with the following email addresses:
Revan04@gmx.net
Futur3d@gmx.net
Thanks

One last thing is the porting the Cry engine2 (Crysis). Of course this is very likley to us too, but also thing that it won't stop us from starting with Far Cry first, finding a Team and prepering a Homepage.

And now just some screens from our 3d work, non of the following models is 100% complete:

Your gun models look good for low-poly models (provided you can do bump-mapping), but as high-poly models, I would rate those as Quake 3-quality, which is not too good.

Your MP5 model should look similar to this to be able to pass as good-quality first-person models for Far Cry.

And here's an image of what I feel needs improvement.

The center of the gun

The clip

Here's what I do: For low-poly models, I simply bumpmap the details, and for high-poly models, I model them in. Follow this advice, and I'm sure you'll be making much nicer first-person models.

The streetlight and trashcan are absolutely stunning.

Some Answers...
First thing is the Mp5 Navy, the Version seen in pictures is not yet final. There much that needs to be improvded and I know that. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
I would describe the seen Version as a mix between what will be seen in 1st person and 3rd person.
By the way, as I remeber the MP5 SD from Far Cry isn't that detailes also, but correct me if I'm wrong.
With the Pistol it is all same like what I said about the MP5.

The second thing are ingame/map screens. I can't say that for sure, cause our Team is still very small and we haven't got a skilled mapper yet. But you should get the first ingame screens when our Website goes online. It's already under construction and we have a skilled member in that field. I will post sth. when it's finished but it can still take a while. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif

No, the MP5 in the original game was not that well-detailed. That's why I made this one - it was perhaps the worst-looking model of the bunch.

BTW, you can do without the reflex sight, I just added that as a novelty.

And that why I'm going to give the MP5 some more details too when it will be finished.
BTW, there will be many version of one weapon in our game. For the Mp5 are 2 main version planned. One with Flashlight (as seen in pictures) and one without Flashlight. The 2 version are both availible with several attachments such as a pointsight, a scope, a laserpointer or the standart ironsights. Like in the newest Rainbow Six Part for example.
Most Weapons are going to have these Special parts to be equipt.
And as it is the topic I think I can name some of the other featured weapons.
There will be another MP5 version (not saying which one),
then the good old M4 (also very modified),
a version of a G36 (also not saying which one)
and serveral Handguns like a P8, Mk23 and the 92FS seen on the images.

Sounds good. It looks like you have a wonderful start. I'm making a Beretta 92 for my own mod, only I'm going to make an attempt at laser sights like these.

Cool thing, I will do the lasersights for Pistols with an attachment under the barellel.
Btw, at which mod you are working?
