Without a compass, it made it very difficult to tell your team mates where the tangos were.
Spotted one over here....er where... oh over by the...ur.. um you know that big tree,,... lol
Will there be a better way to communicate between teamates at distance and give better corodinates this time?? surley!!

Well frankly the waypoint system was better than the compass or anything we have had so far.
But there is a compass in MP.

In real life most poeople have a natural compass and can just say 200 yards north of my possition or something like that. The way points soemtimes cause you to poke out and get shot while try to paint a tango. You should be able to mark tangos on the map/hud with out pointing at them in the game. Scroll through the map, push a button and an x pops onto the spot, tango marked for all team mates. Another thing from GR2/SS that was sick was the range finder that you could turn on. Most people just thought it worked for the Lone Wolf guns, but I used it all the time. Esp for sniping. You just had to turn it on in the game when you 1st spawned.

If you are familiar with map reading then you will always know where North, South, East, West is. Rule of thumb North is always at the top of a map, right? In GRAW when you bring up the map with the back button, North is always at the top of the map and so forth. This is consistent with the printed versions of the maps.

I know where north is, im an ex para. What i meant was, if i see an enemy, how do i tell all my team mates which direction the enemy is to me, or indeed where abouts on the map.

dude, you CAN use the map to set waypoints
move the cursor around on the map and press up on the dpad like you normally would

Most people don't know how to use the waypoint system correctly, thats why you have so many complainers...

I am very glad to see the compass coming back to GRAW. I hope they also keep the waypoints. The combination of the two would be very nice for helping in communication.
One of the issues with the wawpoints was they didn't always go quite where you wanted them, especially if you had to point at someone at elevation. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

yeah, the waypoints are great....even though they dont always wanna go where you want them.
i use the map alot to set waypoints, not for pointing out enemy positions much, but telling a teammate where to set up when i cant get a los.

Compass is great to have. Wavpoint system is really good as well. What we really need is the ability to see wavpoints on the map, and who is who on the map. The hardest thing I've encountered in a match is "guy in F6, watch your back" Not everone has time to check the map to see what grid they are in. Especially if they have a small tv and cant read the coordinates very well.
We need wavpoints, visible in game and map. We need a compass. thank you Redstorm for giving it to us. We also need in map labels of gamertags.

Well since there is no compass in GRAW. You have to do it the hard way. Pull up the map. The good thing about this tact map is show you your position and most importantly which direction your are facing. Also it shows you your friends position as well. So with that being said when you make contact with enemy you will probably be facing him. Pull up the map and call out where you think the enemy is according to the N,S,E,W on the Map itself. Your teamates will just have to do the same.
