First, let me say that I'm extremely impressed by how great the game looks..http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
The few negatives that I have encountered are the following:
In regular multiplayer games (training mode):
Very choppy sound.
Unresponsive mouse, which sometimes requires many clicks to get the wanted effect, which in turn sometimes leads to multiple screens opening up.
The town screen is very user-unfriendly. I would prefer a building screen where all possible buildings were displayed and where the ones you could currently build would be highlighted and the ones that still need certain prerequisites would be grayed out. In addition, it would be helpful to know what the prerquisites for each building are (would help a lot in planning your strategy....) the way things are now you have to use trial and error and experience from previous HOMM games to guess what to build.
The wait during opponents turn could be minimized if certain actions could be taken during his turn, such as entering your towns to plan out what to build for the next day, or to just check other town-related screens. In addition, it would also be great to be able to check out your heroes (equip artifacts, read up on their skills etcetera) and troops (rearrange them, split them etcetera.
Sometimes some of your stacks aren't placed on the battlefield and don't take part in the combat. If you forget/don't place all of your troops, they should be automatically placed before combat begins.
Regarding balance, I haven't encountered enough human-led troops to comment on that for regular multiplayer mode.

Duel-mode:
Very buggy, here are some of the problems I have encountered:
Can't enter the games listed.
Some games aren't listed at all.
After a person joins the game, I can't see his icon and the game can't start.
Sometimes, all the messages in the chat window get duplicated.
The army you select is not the same you get on the battlefield.
Your turns are not properly displayed, so you can't move any of your troops (and get killed....http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif)
Spell effects are way too high and can wipe out almost a whole army at once. (By the way, aren't black dragons resistant to magic?? Not in the games I've played so far).

This would be nice, since i also thinks that the interface is very annoying....

For the building thing, just click on "City Plan" when you are in the build page, it'll bring up what you want. City Plan is the bottom right button on the build page.

Yeah shure.
But the ctyplan is IMHO very confusing.
I think it was much bettter in the old HOMM games.

The only confusing part is the "City Points" thing. All you have to realize is that *anything* you build counts as 1 point, it's easy.

The hard-coded presets (e.g. mage guild before necromancy amplifer) are shown with arrows.

*shrug*.

I have to agree with the OP. By and large it's great and a step up from HoMM4 although I can't decide if I like it as much as HoMM3 yet. My main issues were:

1. Choppy Sound
2. Freezing/slow loading between screens (town and overhead map for example)
3. Slow mouse response
4. I wish you had included a single player map in the beta... the lag may have been server issues after all.

Like you stated above, the city interface isnâ´t very appealing.

Duel mode, I didnâ´t played much, but it seems all right,at least most of the folks are excited about it.

I'll be satisfied with the cities when
1) I have a free moving camera nd
2) when I switch through the available buildings am not shown everything I can build at once, and at top-epansion lvl to boot. Pretty irritation when you are building the town center and the preview shows you a monstrous, glorious something that then suddenly is much smaller again http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

The game looks impressive overall but the end version should be a little faster and the sound should also be better.

I can't go in town when it's not my turn and I think this is very important to plan things for the next round. Also the minimap doesn't work right.
