while it has been said that there will be a patch coming out sometime in the *near*I future, does anyone know if it will address long wait times for games with any of the suggestions people have been giving, or will it just include bug fixes?

Erm, a patch can't fix long wait times. The only way to fix that is to get more people playing.

Actually, a patch might attract more people as it might result in a better product and gaming experience. At the moment one can never be sure if the thing will work correctly.
