Rope Jumping

I know others have posted this question before, but I'm having a really hard time executing this maneuver. I'm playing the Xbox version and I'm currently in the large stone chamber after I first encounter the Dahaka. I'm trying to swing, release, wall run(?) and grab a bar that I'll eventually swing on.

I'm pulling the right trigger, hitting A at the top of the arc and using the L joystick to move forward and.....FALLING TO MY DEATH.

Any advice.

In this particular part, there is a trick to make it possible to jump from the first to the second pole.

Before you grab the first pole, you do a wallrun and then you try to swing to the next rope. If you start the first wall-run to late, you will not be able to swing the first to the second rope. So, start the wallrun earlier and you will make it...

Aigen, thanks, but I wasn't clear. I'm actually on the rope trying to swing to the first pole and can't do it. That's where I'm stuck.

Is it enough to just release from the rope at the top of its arc, or do I also need to wall run a bit to get to that first pole.
