I have the original Splinter Cell and I cannot patch it because it cannot find the version number. I have made sure that I had the right version. In fact, I have tried both versions in all the languages and I am sick of going in circles. WTF is going on?

There are three versions of the game. One is USA/Canada, one is Europe/Asia and the other came with the Audigy sound card. It depends on where you bought it. Get the newest patch available for the one you have here: http://www.3dgamers.com/games/splintercell/downloads/
