so say if i were to play AC2 on ps3 and get all the points, then i replayed AC2 on xbox, would i get the points again since its a different console, or does it only count once on my Uplay account?

I think you can.
But seriously, would you buy AC 2 for X360, PS3 and PC just to have 300 UPlay Points ? It's really not worth...

The points for Xbox360, PS3 & PC are all unique so if you played a game on all 3 platforms you would earn 3 times the points to if you only played on one

Why you think it works that way? People will have ambition to buy the same game on a different support to get more points... and more... and more... Haha, marketing makes me laugh sometimes :P

It's more for giving players additional freedom.

Say, you're not interested in spending all your points for AC2 rewards. You can save those points for another game.

Right now, it seems pointless since if you play a game all the way through, you have exactly enough points to get the 4 rewards. If they introduce additional rewards but not enough points to get them all with the 4 actions of one game, then stockpiling points would come in handy.

It may surprise you to learn that a lot of players do buy the same game on more than one platform, this system is designed to ensure those who do that arent loosing points on multiple game purchases
