since there is only 2 US planes in the game, and they are both not intended for carrier use, so unfortunatly you cannot.

You can land and take off from the US carryer, with a SU33, when you assign russia and USA to the same side Red/Blue in the mission editor. But since the USS Carl Winson dosn't have a jump ramp and the catapults dont work on flyable planes you have to take off by rolling your SU all the way back on the deck and then go full burner all the way up front.
The latest version of LockOn is called Flaming Cliffs and is a payware addon that will upgrade your game to v.1.1 furthermore there is a patch that will upgrade again to v.1.12 wich is the latest patch and the one most online users and squadrons are using at the moment.

E mail me at spitfire_602@btinternet.com
There is a loman zip file ,TOP_GUN_v3.zip, which has a su33 cockpit, but externally is an F14 TOMCAT.
This will enable you to take off from a Russian carrier in an F14 !

BONNE CHANCE MON AMI !
