Chaos theory - Latest PATCH - Reuest to help

Hey folks,

I want to download the latest patch of the Splinter cell: Chaos theory.
I am possessing an Retail DVD Version.
When I have checked the Downloads section on the UBI.com, There only Multiple patches available to download for the Retail DVD Version, ranging from, 33.6 MB to 83.1 MB.

What does this mean:
Splinter Cell - Chaos Theory v1.00 to v1.04 Patch [Retail DVD Version] [83.1 MB] â€" Is this an patch version 1.00 OR 1.04 ?

I am totally confused as to which patch I shall download?
I have just purchased the game and hence never updated before.

I have heared that the latest patch is 1.05, is it true? With the capabilities of ATI Shader 20.0 Support.

Also, Inform how can I determine if I have an US/UK version.
I have purchased the product in Asia.

If i download the latest patch will i even get updated with all the updates from the previous patch (Example: 1.1,1.2 etc)

Your help will be extremely appreciated,

It says 1.00 TO 1.04 . . . I don't see how they can be any more clearer then that. Jesus.

Don't people check their start menu group when they install the game? In there is a handy program called an auto-updater. When you run it, it will download the proper patch. Just click install when it finishes downloading and presto. It really couldn't be any easier.

Guyz,

I am not using auto updater, as I want to have an back-up of the Patch ( I format my PC often!).

Second, I wasn’t sure what they meant by v1.00 to v1.04 Patch.
Now I know, I guess it’s the patch right from 1-to-4 ! in an single pack.

Third, I am still haven’t been able to make out which version I am holding â€" US or UK ?
I have bought the game in Asia.

Well, it is hard for me ): I have had this game earlier, and it patched fine. A couple of days my computer has messed up and I had to reistall Windows. When I installed SCCT and downloaded the patch (1.00 to 1.05), it sayd something like "Old File Found... blah blah"... Anyone can help me? I really want to play :P

Craige1986... to determine which patch you need... run the auto-updater, and it will tell you the filename of the patch it's downloading, and just check whether it has america, or euro on the end of it.

I have no doubt it will be the euro patch you need though.

I am pretty sure you need the UK patch. It's actually EMEA - Europe, Middle East, Asia.

Here's a tip - run the auto-updater. When it starts downloading click on "Advanced". You will see the link to the file you are downloading. Copy -> Paste in your favourite download accelerator.

Cheers. Move the error dialog window and you should see the filename under in another dialog.

Chances are it will be caused by an error during the patching of the large file named dynamic-pc.umd (takes a while maybe depending on the Speed of your System maybe up to 10 Min.)! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Be sure that you didn't modify your file with utilities like the Coop Loadout Editor and if you did, be sure to restore all files before patching. Also, since this is a very large file to patch (otherwise the patch would be huuuge), I suggest disabling anti-virus and don't do anything that causes hard disk activity during patching if possible. You need enough free temporary space (over 1 GB) and not have a fragmented hard disk. You may also try to download the Patch from the Patches / Drivers / Maps (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3651075192/m/5131052553) Thread and execute it from another Folder or even Partition! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I have successfully update the game to 1.5, and yes you were right its the Euro version.

I recently noticed that i am unable to play online because of the Invalid Cd key problem.

I came to the notice that this game comes with 2 cd keys, on DVD & on Manual. But, HECK - I havent got anykind of manual with this game !!

Would any one mind giving me their online key (If they dont intend to use it)

You can use the autoupdater and have a backup of the patch. Wait till it finishes downloading then click the advanced button and it tells where the temp file is located that you will be installing. Just browse to that folder and copy the file over to wherever you want to store it. Then install.
