Thanks for the offer, but I'm totally unconcerned with points, ratings, good old boy networks etc. I'm involved with group play for the teamwork, not the points or the ratings or the status. I find that the quest for points/ratings leads to some pretty nasty online behavior. I'm not familiar, nor do I intend to become familiar with your rating system. If you have some information that would increase my knowledge about the game; please be so kind as to pass it along. With the differences in PC capability and connection speed out there, the points system is relatively meaningless. Adding another layer on top of this only serves to degenerate online play and increase the dissatisfaction of all involved.

Also, please try to respect the moderator's wishes when it comes to adding all those purdy pictures to your signature. It craps up the database for no good reason!

I wish you the best in combining forces! That sounds like an interesting concept!

We at the BM357th are a group of guys who strive to get the MOST out of IL2fb. We enjoy the realism of our simming experience, and do all we can to attract people who show character, integrity, and honesty to become a part of our group.

As it stands right now, we are looking for five experienced simmers, who share our values and want to be a part of our Squadron. A good knowledge of piloting skills, and combat skill is needed. A deep desire to be a part of the ww2 experience is needed, as you will be called on to perform heroic and dangerous duties from time to time.

Thanks for your negative response.

One thing I was not aware of is that hyperlinks to images on remote web pages would adversely impact the database. These pictures exist at the 357th website. Seems odd that it would upset the balance of things, but I can accept if I am wrong about this issue and apologize to everyone and to the moderator if I missed your post about this issue.

At any rate, the offer still stands for those who aren't so easily offended or uptight to swing by and check us out. Remember, no stuffy-heads! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif


About Our Rating System:

Our online rating system (8AAF) is a simple means for us to measure your skill as a dogfighter. Please don't feel this grades you as a person and it should not be an end-all measure of your skill as a pilot. In fact it is not! We are also aware that people have good days and bad.
Some days people are hot and some days not. However, /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif like the world we live in, we are all graded on how we perform, and because this is one way we study you, accept that applying means we also will want to conduct a small test of your skill. We are looking for well-developed pilots who are comfortable in a variety of planes and who know how to relax and have a good time and kick some aXX.

Awards, CK's, etc. are all dependent on peoples' maturity. If someone is not laid back and secure with himself, then that person will tend to focus too strongly on elements of online gaming that are really on tertiary in terms of importance. So LuckyBoy is right on this account, which is why we take care to recruit the kind of people who think like us. Promotions and CK's are not nearly as dear as

Finally, and this is an important point, we are only accepting users with highspeed connections. We are very sorry that we cannot take on some of the excellent pilots who connect via dial-up, but the decision was a group decision made long ago. There are many fine squadrons out there who accept dial up connection players.
