Can someone please tell me if the AI cheats on Normal?

I've been reading disturbing reports about the AI getting massive resource advantages. I want to play at a difficulty level where the AI does not get advantages and plays to the best of its ability. Only then can I see if the AI is decent. If such a level does not exist, then I was fooled again and bought the game thinking the AI was good, just like in Heroes 4 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

you start with more resources than the a.i in normal mode.

the a.i is just very bad and even when it starts with more resources in heroic, you can still beat it.

oh it gets other bonuses cept resources.
like in heroic many neutrals will join it.

How about Hard?

hard equal starting resources, but the a.i has some other advantages.

Such as? Damnit, there should be a level where you have the same resources as the AI and it does not get cheats.

im not sure of what extent it gets advantages in hard, I only know stuff from heroic, so it might barely get any.

Well, it's bad enough that it can see the map. I want to know all the details about these AI levels. It really pisses me off when game companies don't document that.
