What software you using?

Most DVD burning software will give you the right options to convert to DVD format. Of course, if you create your movies in these formats first it will make life easier for your burning software.

I use Ulead MovieFactory 3, which outputs at:

720 x 576
25 fps
24 Bits colour
LPCM Audio, 48000 Hz, Stereo

Thats for PAL of course http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

(edit, deleted my reference to mpeg4, ta to BBloke for pointing it out)

Hi Joe,

I thought DVD's were MPEG 2 and AVI files MPEG4. Or is it my tired fed up with British Airways and flying, eyes like p holes in the snow; wishing I actually had my suitcase with me right now.

And DONT get me started on German airlines.... no wonder they never made cross the sea!!!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Nope, it's not BA or German Airlines, you are right http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

It was late and I was drunk and couldn't be arsed checking the details.

So, once again:

DVD (MPEG1 or MPEG2)
Example res - 720x480 NTSC, 720x576 PAL
Audio - MP1, MP2, AC3, DTS, PCM

AVI/DivX/XviD/WMV (MPEG4)
Example Res - 640x480
Audio - MP3, WMA, OGG, AAC, AC3

I'm not being a smart @ss, google is my friend:
