Assassination Glitch at the beginning?

I'm not sure if it was supposed to happen, but at the beginning in the (new) Animus where you start out in the fight with Ezio, the first thing I did when the brawl broke out was jump onto someone and drive a blade in someone's neck; and this, of course, was when Ezio wasn't an assassin yet. Did someone else get this, or was this just some one time thing?

Yeah the hidden blades sometimes interupt at certain moments when they are non-existant. Ezio will also do a double hidden blade counter before he gains the second blade on certain occassions.
