Ok I want to import some of my old Riven (PC-CD version) saved games into Riven DVD version but it won't let me do that...why? Is there anyway I could possibly "trick" the game into letting me use those saved games or could anyone point me in the dorection of how to get a copy of the saved games in the format the DVD will take?
I shouldn't have to start from square one again should I?

You shouldn't have to start from square one again.
I don't understand what you're trying to do. I would put the games in my documents or someplace like that, uninstall the CD version and install the DVD version.

Whenever I try to load a saved game...it says "Saved games from the CD version of Riven can not be used be Riven DVD"

Hmmmm. Now, me, if I'm tooling down the road and come upon a sign that says "DANGER! Bridge out! STOP!", I usually tend to stop.
So, if you see "Saved games from the CD version of Riven can not be used by Riven DVD"....

Well excuss me!...that was quite rude of you don't you think? All I was asking was if there was a way (that I DIDN'T know about) to somehow import my saved games into the DVD version of Riven...tell me, what's the harm in asking that hmm?
I just wanted to know if a) anyone else had experienced that problem & b) if so, how did they manage to get past it or is there no way at all to import saved games...
I usually get treated nicer here...wonder why this time it's different

Okay, blatant and probably unnecessary sarcasm aside, he wasn't being ~that~ rude. Anyway, I do recall that it said somewhere in the readme that saved games from the CD format can't be used with the DVD format because of slight changes in the programming of the game. So I would just start over and not worry about it; it shouldn't be terribly hard to get yourself back up to where you were.
