Sound problem. I've had no luck in anybody confirming that OpenAL came with the 1.4 patch. But nonetheless that WRAP_OAL is apart of OpenAL. Sometimes reinstalling OpenAL will fix the problem. Download OpenAL (http://developer.creative.com/articles/article.asp?cat=1&sbcat=31&top=38&aid=46) Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the <span class="ev_code_RED">oalinst.exe</span> download and install.(don't worry it comes with an uninstaller for 'add and remove programs'). IF this fails you need to find out your mobo's name and find a new sound driver.

Go here, http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/

Choose Country and model of X-Fi you have and download the latest driver or use their automated downloader or whatever the name is... I think it checks your card and tells you the version you have and if you need to update.

Realtek is another brand that usually come with Onboard sound card Mobos.

That's what JPersson has if he pulls his sound card(onboard sound). I can see the chip with the realtek logo on it. Good. HE can find drivers easy for his sound card.

The problem are that I don't know what I have pro elite or what it's are fore namn how can I cheke that

Next time you goto the site that Want2Snipe has posted, click the auto update link. I imagine it will install an active x that will scan your soundcard and verify a what kind it is and give you options on what to download for drivers. Makes life easy.

Looks like your not the only one with issues with games that use EAX or OpenAL in games with driver version 5.12.8.1201. Looks like a beta driver too. Graw 2 uses OpenAL and EAX. Its ingame sound options.

http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa48/Geonad/grawsound.png

If all else fails, disable that option (EAX) in graw 2 before you launch the game to (ACT 1) goto sound options and uncheck EAX. or use the "Auto detect" for sound.

Make sure you have the latest nvidia driver also. when you install a new graphics driver uninstall the old driver first. Be careful cause you have an nvidia chipset so in 'add and remove programs' just uninstall the "driver only".
Nvidia (http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp) download the driver to desktop (easier to find) double click the icon and install.

Edit: BTW did you ever check that link out and install that OpenAL on your pc? Just wondering.

Just 1 sugestion . If u download graphic driver fron nVidia u will get 162.something version . That driver have dynamic shadow bug and will couse PC to crash or restart on some system . It is solved in 163.44 version , but it is beta driver. Beta=not whql certified driver , but work and look same as official . You can download it on www.guru3d.com (http://www.guru3d.com). There is also some newer driver , but i have not tested it . 163.44 solved my problem and i will keep it .

I have got a old Audigy 2 ZS so i cannot use those latest sound drivers......

But i do have a 79GT and using 163.69 XG's w/ threaded on is extremely stable.

I would guess that these crashes are as much to do with the drivers as the game itself.
