I tried to set some TF2 or L4D2 up in the PC Gaming thread a few weeks back to minimal success (I'm sure giving more than a couple day's notice would have helped, but you know.) If you have better luck at getting people, let me know and I will merrily join in.

I've considered trying to setup TF2 on PC/Mac for a Community Game Night for a while now. I kind of wanted to wait until it was out on the Mac so that as many people as possible could play (and, well, because OSX is my primary operating system).

Is that something we want to try?

I'm not quite sure what would be involved in setting that up as my area of expertise is solely on the Xbox 360 but I'm certainly willing to figure it out if enough people want to play.

The two ways I've seen it done is to hop in a game, and then just send an invite via Steam (I don't remember where exactly the option is, but it's pretty obvious; either in the right click menu or it's a separate, clearly-marked button in the interface) to all those who want to play.

The other way is to have one person create/join a game, and then just arrange to have everyone else join the same game (again, really easy through steam, everyone simply right clicks on the person's name and hits "Join Game".)

It's really not that hard at all.

Probably wouldn't be for a few more weeks as we've got the next couple planned out and then I don't know about Comic Con weekend as I have a feeling a number of people will be out of town but I'm definitely looking at it as a plan in the near future.

My playtime amounts to a grand total of 21 minutes according to Steam so I'll be right there with you.

Whoever is the admin of the frag dolls group can make an event. Thats generally the best way to do things clan ways because while your online the event will popup, you can also see how many hours / minutes to that event if you look at your upcoming pages.

Yeah, the person who is admin of the group isn't around here much anymore so that likely won't be a possibility if only the admin can do it.
