Uneven matching in multiplayer

Hello Everyone,

Forgive me if this topic has already been posted in the forums. If so please direct me in the right direction.

In the past few nights of multiplayer, on the PS3, I've noticed the system seems to pay no mind to peoples' ranks when creating teams. For example, last night I was on a team with ranks ranging from 1-6. We played against a team with ranks ranging from 9-14. We all voted, however, the team with higher ranks had one more player and therefore won the vote to not shuffle. Needless to say, my team got creamed by the team of more experienced players. We all know that with the connectivity issues right now, it is a bit annoying to finally get in a game of uprising only to have it finished a few minutes later.

Has anyone else noticed this? I feel like this should be a problem that needs to be addressed within the matching system.

or of course we can all vote to have even teams and actually give ourselves a challenge by competing against an evenly matched group. Sure it's nice to rank up easily but what fun is that.

Thoughts on this issue in one of the best multiplayers games to date?

The matching up for ranked game is broken. I see team with rank no more than 4 go up against team with rank no leas than 9. It is funny, but if anyone from th lower rank team who plays good and causing problems for the host you are going to get banned. Yep the host ban you is you kill him and treathen his team. That just to rub it in some more. Thanks UBI you must have some genius there that sit down and code a game like that. That is pathetic and laughable.

are you freaking kidding me? haha no wonder I got banned from this match..what a freaking nancy the host was, I killed it/him/her whatever and got banned from the game..lol...awesome

Yeah, I got kicked just for coming around a rock and poppin' the host in the head with my superior reflexes. You think that people can be mature enough and lose with dignity but instead there needs to be a system to stop people from acting like idiots.

I think there needs to be a host ranking system. If i came into a lobby and the host was ranked at a 1 of 5... I would roll out to the next. or maybe if they can kick us from a game we should should be able to vote to have them banned from hosting. Sad it would need to come to that but I payed good money to enjoy my game.

it isn't just the game automatically setting teams this way - I have been in quite a few games recently where by I have seen lvls 10+ swap teams as soon as they can to be with other 10+'s to leave it rather one-sided! They then straight away hit ready even though they had been on the other team for a couple of minutes without being ready!

never understood where the challenge was for higher levels like that to go up against lower levels in something like capture the diamond when trams are that one-sided - guess it is just me http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Why is there an option to shuffle teams anyways? Why not just have the computer do it right? Delete the option=problem solved.

well it's been therapy to my eyes to see it's not just me who thinks Ubisoft failed on many levels for the online experience and I doubt these posts will amount to anything, in fact am certain they will not. But it's nice to vent I believe. Yes I've seen exactly what you're talking about and all the higher level nancies side up on one team in order to rank up even higher by getting extra credit for winning the actual game not just how many kills. Unfortunately SASQUATCH your probably right, it will never get fixed. The least we can do I guess is find some people to play with that share the same views. I'll hit you up on PSN. If anyone else wants to have a good evenly matched game, feel free to hit me up. PSN ID is Davethedog

I agree 100% with this - this is all these ppl have to look forward to. Since A, they never usually have control, power, or success in life. Then B, they are rewarded in this game!! I like to think that Karma is a bit** sometimes, and usually if you want a reward and that is all you can take, life sometimes says that is all you can take. Way to go - take the only reward you can ever get - ranking up in a game with so many flaws in it!!

It was built around 1993 standards literally I wish I was exaggerating for effect/humor but it is seriously beyond bad. If you ever played an FPS on a PC in the 90's you see there are massive flaws.
