If i save the gane every 5 mins i might could get through it but thought you smart people could make it a little more fun???? I have pen 3 . The pen 4 is recommended.....is that the problem or is there one graphic card that should be used that is the best??? thanks for any help.

Sounds like a hardware problem.

If you have a 700 MHz or higher speed Pentium III, that's OK for Revelation. So is a Radeon 7000 to 9800 or better video card, but you must install the latest Radeon video driver.

Catalyst 5.7 is the latest Radeon video driver. All Catalyst drivers are available starting here (http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894). For Win XP and Catalyst 5.7, click on Drivers and Software > Windows XP Drivers and Software > Radeon > CATALYST 5.7 Windows XP - Driver Download.

Here's the installation procedure:
-- a. Log into Windows with full Administrator privileges.
-- b. Install or re-install DirectX 9.0c, available here (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0a9b6820-bfbb-4799-9908-d418cdeac197&DisplayLang=en), and reboot.
-- c. Uninstall your current Radeon driver using Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs, and reboot.
-- d. If prompted, cancel the installation of the display adapter during bootup. Or, if given a choice of default drivers to install, select 'Standard PCI Graphics Adapter (VGA)'. Reboot if prompted.
-- e. Use Windows Task Manager to close everything except for Explorer.exe, Ctfmon.exe, and whatever your hardware needs:
----- 1. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del once and then click on Task Manager.
----- 2. Select the Applications tab.
----- 3. Click on the desired application to highlight it.
----- 4. Click on the End Task button at the bottom of the tab.
----- 5. Repeat this procedure until all unnecessary applications and processes are closed. If you aren't sure which background processes or applications can be closed using Task Manager, check out the AnswersThatWork Task List Programs index (http://www.answersthatwork.com/Tasklist_pages/tasklist.htm). The most common tasks are described, and which ones are essential and which can be safely closed are noted.
-- f. Click on Start > Run.
-- g. Browse to the Catalyst 5.7 installer file you downloaded, and double-click on it to put it in the Open: box.
-- h. Click on OK to start the install process.
-- i. Follow the Wizard's instructions to complete the installation.
-- j. Reboot when prompted.

If you already have the proper Pentium III and video driver, post a DxDiag report in this thread. We'll take a look at your system and make recommendations. See [Posting Guidelines] Help! I'm Having Technical Problems and I Don't Know Why!?! (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/ubb.x?a=tpc&s=400102&f=580100736&m=1291074922) under To post a DxDiag report for a how-to. Run all of the Display and Sound tests you can before saving the report to a file.

If you have a 700 MHz or higher speed Pentium III, that's OK for Revelation.

Whether a GeForce card is better than a Radeon depends on the chipset on the card and the PC in which it's installed.

ATI's Rage series chipsets are NOT supported by Revelation! The System Requirements on the back of the Revelation slipcase/box and the Ubisoft Store's Revelation website (http://store.ubi.com/item.jsp?item=008888681632) also list the ONLY supported video chipsets:
-- ATI Radeon 7000 to 9800 or better
-- NVIDIA GeForce 1/2/3/4/FX families
-- Matrox Parhelia (PC only)
-- Intel i865G to i915G (PC only)

Why did you take out the Radeon card?

What happened when you installed Catalyst 5.7 with the Radeon?
