Hey guys, just a quick note to let you know that a SP demo of Vegas will be available in the december edition of OXM magazine. The Xbox Live marketplace demo will be available soon after this.

(December edition releases end of october)

So there you have it, you can all see Vegas for yourselves very soon!

Ridiculous... so the marketplace is fine to nickel and dime us on DLC after a game is released but you can't give us a demo on there until after it's on the OXM disc? I'm getting sick of this bull***.

i think its kool that the developers come to this forum and tell us anything at all. all that anyone does is whine about it.

the reason the OXM disk prolly comes out first probably has to do microsoft greenlighting demos for the marketplace...a lot of demos have gotten held up by that, even when they're completed

in fairness,there are alot of people who dont have/cant get Live who miss out on alot of things,i dont think an oxm exclusive demo once in awhile is such a bad thing....but then again i get the mag so.... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Sorry for actually expressing my disappointment that MS overhyped the value of the marketplace. If OXM has time to put the demo on the disc and mail it out, then MS has time to certify it.

Exactly my point... we can pay $15 for DLC for one of their other games but they can't throw us a free demo on the marketplace without having to drop $8 on it? I have a subscription to OXM (until it runs out) but the magazine has sucked for a long time... why should people have to buy a substandard magazine to play the demo when we have the marketplace? I'm sick of the greed.

I have nothing against demos being on OXM discs. I don't think demos should be exclusive to the Marketplace either. I just think it sucks that they could give us the demo on the Marketplace sooner than we can get it through OXM, but instead of using it to give us a preview of the game they are using it as a tool to boost sales for a magazine that can't sell without a gimmick.

hammer, that beef is with MS then. Ubi can't release whatever they want on the marketplace like that. Otherwise I'm sure we would have the demo a week earlier than it would be in OXM

Ya would be nice if a developer actually ever posted in there. Its why they come here.

Anyways, UBI deals a lot in exclusivities which is most likely the reason its in the magazine first. In PC GRAW a patch got released for a big lan before they gave it to the players heh.

I am more interested in the PC demo over the XBOX360 one. I don't know, but the graphics are great on my XBOX360, but cartoony nonetheless. I just tried FEAR demo on the XBOX360 and it just didn't look good as the PC version. The PC version should take full advantage of the Unreal 3 engine on my Dual X1900XTX Crossfire set up. All the reason why my 360 is only good for sports games.

Ign is saying Ubi has announced today that the demo will first be in OXM, and then on the marketplace in Nov


This demo will be available October 24 on newsstands in the next issue of OXM and later for download via Xbox Live in November.

ppl, please stop asking about the PC version like the DEVS forgot about you.
The Devs read the constant nagging about the PC version and ignore it for a reason and on purpose. i bet it all means "bad news" for PC fans but i might be wrong.
eitehr way - as a PC fan to another PC fans - lets keep the nagging in the PC forums.
goliath surely reads there too and is forbidden to realese any details. it's a drag. we hate ubi for it and we feel left out - no news, no demo, no SS no nada. but we should atleast keep the console forums clear of our ranting... :/ i guess... it isnt helping....
