Haha true, although that's one expensive girlfriend.

My favorite Zelda game was Ocarina of Time. I've played most of them, except for those strange elusive ones you can't seem to find. I liked Windwaker, too, but not as much as all the other Zeldas. I'm hyperventilating in anticipation for Twilight Princess.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening was DEFINITELY a very good game (for Gameboy). If this game was remade for the Nintendo DS WITH Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past SNES graphics (the way Square Enix remade the classic FF games)... I would be such an ECSTATIC Zelda fan!

Also, I think you're underestimating Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time a bit. This game actually had more INVOLVING characters into the story's plot (way more RELEVANT, supporting characters than LoZ:LTTP did) such as Ruto, Saria, Malon and Talon, Impa, Nabooru, Darunia, etc. Not to mention, the puzzles and dungeons in Ocarina of Time are actually challenging, and the level of difficulty elevates as you progress into the game.

I mean, who can forget the dreaded yet legendary Water Temple of this game! It was a huge, paralyzing temple that left you backtracking and thinking, and when you finally solved it, you have a great sense of accomplishment!

The game also has enough sidegames to keep you busy for hours (the Fishing mini-game is addicting enough to make you waste countless hours), and there are several features that are clearly innovative that you wouldn't see in most other games (Riding on horseback, while shooting targets with a bow and arrow is one of them).

Pay your respects! Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is a FANTASTIC, well-crafted gem by Miyamoto-san himself. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Yes these games did get a stateside release but they were for a non-Nintendo system that has long since died. Unfortunetly I can't remember which system that is now. These specific Zelda games are know as being the true black sheep of the Zelda series, well known for their level of suck. I'm sure if you were to search youtube you'd find video evidence of this.

Anyway thanks for sharing the vids Gypsy. Though I am slighly peeved that they got a factoid about the music wrong. (The classic theme has NOT been in every game of the series, Zelda II and OoT are glaring exceptions) But that's just because I've spent alot of time with most of the games in this series. The only ones I haven't really touched are the Minish Cap, and the GameBoy Color ones. Which reminds me that I still have a couple of things to do in a few games. (Like catch the Loach in OoT, Re-create my finished game in Majora's Mask [I just HAD to play through it again didn't I], and get a few more items in Wind Waker)

And thanks for bringing up the Water Temple Ukyo now I'm going to have nightmares of getting lost in there again. It's bad enough when you do it in game on your third play through. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Ack, Water Temple. I remember when I stayed home sick from school (legitimately!), and it was the only thing that kept me from passing out from fever. I beat it that day, too, so it wasn't exactly a whole day wasted...I accomplished something! The Water Temple was definitely THE hardest dungeon in that game, but I also remember having a lot of trouble with the Forest Temple, the first one. Really! I'm not sure why. My favorite dungeon in OoT was the Fire Temple, my least favorite was the Shadow Temple. I wasn't fond of those undead creepy crawlies very much.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

A B? That's not bad. I probably would have failed if I did that. But you know, I would have LOVED to have gotten to stay home to play games during my first period, since that was just STUDY HALL. So pointless!!<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Yeah, I was thinking of that when I typed that. I'm not denying that all girls are pretty much investments, like a car is, or a house. >.< However, if he plans on ever playing the Wii himself, I definitely wouldn't buy a girl one. Nope. I mean, I even know that my significant other and I are probably going to have some issues about who gets to play. We already fight over FFXII.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Link's Awakening is probably my second favorite Zelda game (tied with Ocarina of time), Link to the Past being my favorite of all time.

Zelda will probably always be my favorite game franchise. But I do have some pet peeves:

- that claw thing that drops down and grabs you, leaving you at the start of the dungeon (A Link to the Past)
- Deku Link (Majora's Mask)
- sailing was cool at first, then became tedious (Wind Waker)
- starting out with the small capacity wallet, and having rupees go to waste cause you can't carry them (multiple)

Strangely enough, I was a fan of the cartoon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2-uzf5Gjp4) before I was a fan of the games.

ok, like fish, eggs, and songs on the radio...

too much digestion of anything makes me sick.

even though we know this will play just like its other 3d iterations, have identical enemies and probably bosses(or at least methods to defeat them), hopefully the use of the controller and the appearance(if that counts) will make it feel fresh enough.

oh and it's called "Zelda" too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
