first of all, I know this has been out for ages now. I really like splinter cell, only now have I decided to think about getting this one. I'm only getting for single player (i'm the only person who doesn't have xbox live). anyway, does it have a good single player? and how long is it?

thanks

yeh, this game offers an excellent single player experience with loads of replay value and alternative routers not to mention different load outs and an excellent and fun game overall so yes you should(but ur kinda asking the wrong forum since this is a splintercell forum 99% of the people r going to agree http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif )

No question that you should, especially considering how cheaply you can get a used copy now...

EDIT: P.S: Xbox live is very worth it. If you are able to get it, I suggest you do so. You won't be sorry.

It does have a good singleplayer, though it didn't appeal to me personally as much as the first 2 Splinter Cells did. If you're a graphics buff, CT has plenty of eye candy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Overall the singleplayer is solid .... due to the variety of ways you can play the game, it has replay value. The story you may have a little trouble following if you're not up to date with the story of its predecessors, but I think you can get the overall gist of it from playing only CT.

Also, if you have friends who play games, you can play the split screen cooperative mode. It's short, but interesting and can be fun (as long as your partner isn't like my cousin who can beat Halo on Legendary in his sleep, but totally sucks at the stealth action of SC). The coop missions also parallel with the singleplayer's story.

In a nutshell, go for it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif But ... be sure not to approach the game with the mindset it's gonna be similar to Far Cry ... these 2 franchises are apples and oranges.

Of course you should get it! You'll get a thrill you'll never forget. And then Live! just makes it even better.
