Killzone 2

Who here played the PS2 exclusive Killzone. It didn't quite live up to it's Halo killer reputation but it was still worth renting. Anyway, they are making a second one and it looks much better; I don't care if it's cutscene or gameplay (well actually I do http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif) but it looks awsome. I played it and loved it just as much as Halo! But THIS looks awesome!

yeah, i played KillZone and LOVED it, thought it was a wicked game

to be honest, i think its just as good a game to the PS2 as Halo is to the XBox

Since PS2 dont have much of FPS I think it was more then wellcome. And I played it a bit and its OK. Not as Halo but it's defenetly one of the best FPS for PS2.

Remember: in my review of killzone i said they'd make killzone 2.... and here it is!

Yeah, that video looks really nice, but you got to remember that it's a game that will be out a year from now. What new stuff will come out before then?

correction: They never said that, nor never mentioned it, the press claimed it would be THE HALO KILLER, so its really not thier fault for false advertising.

it was the people like you (the forum goers, the press, the random gamer) that said it was gonna be the halo killer

but it wasn't

Guerilla (the devs) never said it was going to be the Halo killer

they just wanted to make a game that they felt was cool and that people liked

i personally think it is one of the most enjoyable, well-structured and graphically impressive games ever made, even though its on the lowly PS2

it cant claim to be the Halo-killer because it is a completely different type of game to Halo

but it has done to the PS2 what Halo did to the XBox, and i'm getting it cos i think its a brilliant game

no other game has captured the horror of war in my opinion apart from maybe Call of Duty or MoH, and Killzone does this perfectly

yeah, for a Next Gen console, Killzone's graphics look awesome

but the first Killzone still looks awesome today, even though its on a PS2

the weapons were brilliant, i loved reloading each one, especially the grenade launcher on the Assault Rifle, and the pistols looked great as well

it also had a storyline that worked. the characters were great, especially Sean Pertwee as Hakka, who i thought was great.

I also loved the weapons. I liked how they each gave them each a good reloading animation. (for example the tide together clips for the basic rifle that you would slap into place)

Nice movie. I think it is UIII Engine. Looks really great if it is in-game, looks really good if it is CG-animation.

I'm not sure if that's gameplay or not. They do have him actually behind the gun shooting, but it could be a pre-render. At the moment I think my brothers and I are going to get Xbox 360 and PS3. (If we can get the friggin' money).

it was amazingly fun, and during the later levels, there was some lagging, but all in all, it was a strait up-sci-fi shooter sony needed.


I think its awsome that guerilla thought a littl bit about past wars, to come up with a new-future war that is superb. The weapons where cool, especially that they forced you to take cover to reload, making it all the more suspenceful. And altought i only played a demo, i can imagine the kind of story the game would back up.

th one thing i can't understand is: why dont they have helmets, i mean, thier in war against th helghast, why dont they just slap on a helmet (but something that dosent cover the new realistic, and cool, looking faces)?
