I always used to go to 1C forums AFTER browsing "the ZOO", to get some mental rest after reading too much unnecessary bull$hit in some of the threads over here.

It's pretty easy to understand really. People are anxious for the game. Most are eager to buy it. Unfortunately, neither Oleg nor Ubi will pass along solid info about some important questions people have, even while taking pre-orders. A lot of frustration and short fuses are the result.

Haven't caught the wave of fear and euphoria myself yet. I think I reached critical mass a few years ago and burned out a section of my brain that normally gets worked up about SoW.

It's been quite a phenomenon. I'm not suprised OM and Luthier have kept a very low profile these past three or four weeks, who would want to find themselves at the epicentre of that? If the collective freak out on the Banana Forum were a physical entity it would have been tear-gassed and baton charged by now.

OR maybe, MAYBE, they are just really REALLY busy trying to finish a game for release! In the industry, its called "crush time" and nobody goes home till its done. Also, even if its gold, its still crunch time for 0 day bug fixes.

Three weeks ago, Amazon changed the date to April 19th. I had already pre ordered. I emailed them to ask if that was a second shipment (IE the first had been sold out).. and they replied.. no the release date was pushed back. We are sorry, we'll upgrade you to overnight shipping.
I said ..... Ok.

Been waiting on this for 2+ years now.. two weeks.. big deal. This behavior is juvenile at best... but absurd for sure.
