Unleash them! They're chomping at the bit and need exercise.

In Australia we have a saying "You Bloody Rippa" - They look excellent! Slater, great work. If I may, when will they be available for a test flight?

Dependant upon the finish your seeking.... can I suggest possibly some weathering on the upper wing surface step up to the cockpit.

Hello Slater,

Stunning skins! I really like the looks of "Black 12". http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif Hope it won't be to long before we can download them. Oh & I agree with Heavensabove, they really do need some chipping on the wingroot. Maybe a little bit on the canopy frame too. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Keep up the excellent work! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif =S=

P.S. Send me an update report on my artwork & your break. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I mostly like these skins, in fact I really like the subtle way the weathering works to emphasise panels on the bottom. What I don't like is that the markings appear transparent, as if they somehow don't belong to the otherwise lively paint job.

Nice.

Excellent work judging by the screens but i think they suffer a bit from too much yellowish tint...
Just my 2 cents.

Yeah the yellowish haze seems to be part of your style, your P40s have the same effect no?

But I do think eastern front A4's would still have the inside of the cross's on the upper wings painted black at that stage.

all up looking good

Hey guys!

Thanks for all the comments! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif I've been experimenting with your suggestions a little bit the past couple of days to see what I think. I do agree, there was a yellowish haze, which I didn't remove altogether, but I did tone down a bit. Some of the marking, especially the swastika on the tail, were a bit too toned down. Comparing with color photos, these areas were usually pretty fresh looking, so I've changed that up a bit. Again, I didn't change it alot, because I feel too much, and they'd look out of place the other way.

I've also discovered, that, for the life of me, I can't get the chipping to look "just right" on the wingroot, which of course drives me INSANE! I'm sorry, right now I don't have any screen shots, but I'll post a couple pics maybe tonight when I get a chance.

Oh, and I also am not an expert on LW markings, and I'm not sure about the upper wing markings. I believe that Hannig's Black 12 was a little later replacment a/c, so it may have had the later wing crosses? Any help would be appreciated. I have reverted back though for my other, Eastern Front splinter schemes http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Thanks again guys!

An update, with stuff taken into account to make them look better http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Also, I redid some panel lines that didn't look right, and the exhast was redone based on some pictures I've seen(now goes over the wing root)

Let's hear what you think?

Hello Slater,

Still looking good my friend! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif I really like "White 3" & "Yellow 2". Think you made the right choice by adjusting some of the layer settings. Keep trying the wingroot & canopy chipping. You'll get it eventually. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Keep up the excellent work! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif =S=

All are excellent. I particularly like Black 12 (just the right amount of toning down IMO) and Yellow 2 (quite an unusual scheme, or at least I haven't seen it before)
I like your subtle panel lines and shading. The obvious panels are the ones removed the most.

I don't fly LW often but when I do, these will be among the skins I will choose to fly under.
