Hi need some help please

My problem is Rainbow Six Vegas doesn't load when I launch it.

I played this game a while back on my Vista laptop fine. I decided to re-play it again, now installation is fine but when I double-click it doesn't load either that disc icon cursor just appears and nothing happens or I get a message saying Rainbow Six Vegas has stopped working.

I have also tried the compatabilty settings but no luck.

My laptop specs are T7520 2.0Ghz Core2Duo, 2GB ram, 256mb 8600M GT, and as mentioned before the game ran fine months ago when I first played it.

Also I looked up a few threads on here and I tried the game with and without the patch but it still doesn't work.

Here is what is interesting though, I tried it on an XP desktop I have and suprisingly it works perfectly fine on that so I don't understand what is the problem that it no longer works on my Vista laptop even though it worked fine months ago.

Thank you

It's a probably a registry issue. You need to do a "clean" reinstall of the game, ie. Delete any references of it in the registry and make sure you have deleted the player profile in your docs before you reinstall.

Hi I also have this problem but on XP! I just bought 3 copies of R6 Vegas (£5 each in Game!)for me and my 2 bro's to play online but had to reinstall one copy now it won't startagain. I deleted all files/folders and also I have cleaned the registry of anything 'Ubisoft' is there anything else I need to be looking for? Would a system restore work? This is so f***ing annoying if anyone has come across this problem and solved it please drop a line to us http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif!!!

Ok i'm sorted now! I ran Revo uninstaller on Vegas and got rid of most of the crap in the registry then used Ccleaner to get rid of the rest. They are free programs get them on Download.com I also made sure Program Files/Ubisoft and Ubisoft in documents and settings were deleted. Runs fine now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
