Saving the game

I started playing the game for about 25 mins and got to a battle with a character near a beach. I was wanting to exit the game and save my progress but could not find where to do this. I had to turn off the power and lost all my info. Please help

It is unfortunate that you lost your data in such an awesome game.

You save by... well.. using the toilet, whether the toilet at your house or one in route to a boss fight.

Using a toilet to save the game is cool. Only having 2 main points to do are not cool, especially if you have to fight to get to the second one. There should have been public restrooms and port-a-potties everywhere. They all could have had their own unique animations. There could have even been a quick save function that causes Travis to run and pee on the closest tree or whatever so that you could save quickly if you needed to. It took me a while to get home last night just to save, I was extremely sleepy and barely made it.

If you ever need to get to the motel quickly, jump into the river in the middle of town or into the ocean off Iron Claw Point(near that large bridge that goes over the river, there's a red jump). You'll automatically be back in the parking lot, no worse for your ordeal.
Then just run inside and you're good.

After it is saved, I can not restart from the beginning. Does not seem reasonable if more than one person wants to play. Any suggestions.

Actually you can start a new game from the beginning. When your save automatically loads hit the menu button, go to new game in the menu to the far right. It's in the same section as "load game".
