Hey guys I just played the test version at the gamescon in Germany, and I would like to share my experiences with you all.
First of all, it was a very short demo, but it was a special level which pretty much covered the most basic features of the controlls. You have to shoot targets, grab a sword, slash some targets in different ways. Eventually you open up doors (de way to open doors looks like a gimmick, but it works pretty well), fight a few bandits with your gun and sword, and eventually you fight a big boss with a sledgehammer (which is tough if you dont know how to damage him).
The graphics are awesome. The new cell shaded look is sweet, and everything is rendered well, the frames are very smooth, and the textures are also well done. FInally some decent anti-aliassing (which most wii games miss)! No complaints here.
The controls aren't bad. Because of the wii-motion plus, the shooting is a bit harder for those who cant hold their hand still in the air. I had a little trouble with it, but it was no big deal. I could still hit the small targets like bottles pretty well. I think you need to get used to it. The sword fighting is much much better than the first part of the game (thank god!), you can hit the enemy with alot of different moves, and the game senses your moves very well. I had no problem with the game sensing the wrong movement or whatever. If they maybe reduce the sensitivity of the controller while shooting (dont know if its possible), then the controlls would be really perfect.
Overal, my demo experience was really awesome. They almost convinced me to actually buy the game. Too bad multiplayer is missing out, which is the main reason why I wont buy it, I will probably play the single player a few times at a friend or whatever, because it is very well done. But I will really miss the multiplayer action, so I made my mind up, I will be skipping this one. Too bad.
Still my compliments to ubisoft, its a HUGE improvement, the controlls are working and it looks really sweet!
