So I thought it would be a good idea if I started a topic about the upcoming TLoZ for the GameCube.
It looks alot like Ocarine of Time on the N64 but then better.
I'll edit this page later on because I'm to darn lazy...
Some new scans popped up today which I'll add when I feel like it, anyone else is free to do it if they want of course http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.
EDIT: Okay, I'm not lazy anymore! I uploaded some scans and screenshots for your viewing pleasure. I'll link the scans and pictofy the screens. Just waiting for them to upload to photobucket... Waiting... Waiting... Still not finished >_< Have a look at the cool new outfit in the screens http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif And you can also see that he is a triforce symbol on his left hand... Waiting.... It says it will be 2 to 3 times bigger than Ocarine of Time! Is it done already?! Nope, apparently horses will play a big role in this game. WHAT's TAKING PHOTOBUCKET SO LONG!? More Zelda to be seen at E3 (17th of May it starts http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif). I'm going to get something to drink, be right back http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif I'm back! They're done!
Enjoy:

Yeah, as much as I hate to admit it (and I allready have numerous times on these forums) I didn't play WW completely in spite of it's childish cell-shaded graphics. Link's look disgusted me for that game, and I missed out and a great Zelda adventure. I've never been much for judging a book by it's cover, but WW was too over the top for me. I'm waiting for the new LoZ to revive the series for me, I need a new game!

I have said since the days of the original NES that the graphics of a game are a distant second to gameplay in terms of what makes a quality game. I still hold to that philosophy.
I don't like the graphical style of WW, but I played through it anyway. Don't get me wrong -- I admit the graphics in that game were well done, but it didn't really appeal to me in that regard.
That said, it is not for that reason that I don't really care for WW. It's too short, for one (though with how short BG&E is, one of the best games ever, I can overlook this). The other major problem with it is that for a significant portion of the game, you are mindlessly sailing around the ocean looking for triforce shards. I've played all the way through WW twice, and I'm not sure I ever will again. Compare this to at least a dozen times for BG&E, about half a dozen for OoT (despite OoT being a much longer game), and multiple times for many other games as well.
So far, I feel that OoT is the best of the series. From what I've seen of the new game, it just may take that title.

Wind Waker looked very artistic(not many people would agree on that), the new Zelda will look realistic. They're both good looking in their own way, and I can't really say that I prefer the realistic style over the artistic one, they're both beautiful in their own way.

Clomer posted this, and Dukester suggested updating this one, so I did:
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> How many of you have seen the new Zelda trailer that was just released? Head here if you haven't.
Anyway, it appears that through much of the game, Link will have a sidekick, a character that will help you as you progress through the game. I can't help but wonder if the masterminds at Nintendo saw what was done with BG&E (in terms of how you cooperate with your partner) and decided to implement something similiar.
I remember reading a while ago that at E3 2003 (which is when both Wind Waker and BG&E were showcased), the two developers saw each other's games and marvelled at how much they had in common. Nintendo knows a good idea when they see it, so I would not be surprised to see BG&Eesque gameplay elements in the new Zelda game.
Thoughts, comments? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
I wouldn't be surprized if Nintendo borrowed a page from BGE. You're right, Nintendo does know a good idea when they see it. BGE very well could be an influence to this.
Contrary to that, however, I read in EGM that they were going the have the secondary character as the fairy (darnit! can't think of it's name.) They realized that the American audience didn't really like the fairy, so they were pondering replacing it with a person. That may also be the source of the sidekick, but then again, could still have been influenced by BGE all together. Had anyone else read about that?

Hahaha, I just couldn't stop laughing when I saw the trailer, a wolf with a pokémon on his back. I thought the trailer was awesome(especially how it ended), but this new sidekick looks a hell of a lot like a pokémon. And although I like the looks of the link-wolf, couldn't they at least give it real fur? Also, the subtitle doesn't sound very catchy, but it's alright. What am I complaining about anyway, this new Zelda is going to be the greatest ever!

And as a budgetgamer, I haven't played many games yet, like Resident Evil 4, Pikmin 2 and Mariokart to name a few. But if there's only going to be ONE game I'll buy before the Revolution comes out, it will be the new Zelda, and I won't regret not having bought so many other good games. I have 26 GC-games at the moment, and with those games are the games I REALLY wanted, the new Zelda will be my last real must-have on the Gamecube.

I can sympathise with you there, cash is a particularly tight for me at the moment, (although it is kinda satisfying find bargains; I recently snagged a new KOTOR2 for Xbox for a cool â£17!) so there's a few games and stuff that I'm going to have to wait for, for the time being. Although I'll be planning get the new Zelda ASAP. I was a tad disappointed when I first saw the new graphics; I kinda liked the cel-shading, and it all looked a bit too LOTR for comfort, but it's starting to sound kinda cool, what with Lupine-Link and all...

I like the return to the old look, personally. The Cel Shading was just a bit too kiddy for me.
