I'm sure it will be on 360, probably a few months after it comes out on PC. At least, that's how it happened last time. As for PS3, I have no idea.

It will be on PS3 & X360 if it goes to consoles. It will not be exclusive to either.

Hate playing FPS on PC? PC always has best stuff.

Well, I don't really care. But since it's Ubi. Its a big chance its on the 360 as well. Maybe not at PC launch, but eventually. To be honest, same goes for PS3. (Getting my 42" 1080p 8th gen plasma tv too day http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif 8th gen don't burn the image, in case you didn't know that)

@Warkid1993: Last time there where no consoles that could manage the PC game.

Last time was 18months after the PC release, and as noted it was a very different game...
That duration probably took into account a learning curve for Montreal after Crytek changed publisher.

Will be interesting to see how UBI approach this.

I'm pleased that they are focusing on PC at this stage, but given the potential volumes I would be amazed if it doesnt get ported to the 2 big console platforms at some point.

Just curious - what other projects is Ubisoft Montreal working on, at least that we know of? We have to figure that they don't have an unlimited staff, and probably have several major projects going on.

They always bring games out on pc first, to be honest i doubt we will c it on 360 til april next year at the soonest.

I'd like to see it on 360. I bought Instincts, Evolution & Predator at release. I was never really a fan of Predator mode. I enjoyed regular multiplayer more than anything. I still play it to date.

They're working on Assassin's Creed also at the moment.

ya i have nothing at all against PC ...i just have a 360...i also have a PC but its not souped up so it probably couldn't handle FC2 so i REALLY hope to see it make a return to 360...as you guys stated they have already established a huge fan base with the instincts storyline and would make a alot of money if they make that move

I don't quite understand some of the sentiments I've seen here. Obviously, nobody really wants to see Ubisoft splitting their attention between the PC and console versions, or porting a console version to the PC. But if they do the PC version first, and then turn their attention to the consoles, how would that hurt the PC community?

What I'll be looking foward to Far Cry 2 is the ability to play cross-platform gaming with Xbox Live against Vista Live. Brimtown, I believe people are just fanboys that just couldn't get along. Ubisoft is known for console games, then later ported to the PC gaming.

Sadly yes, both that and multiplatform development for both Xbox, PS,, (and a PC port if there's time and a few bucks left).

However things seem to be changing, which imho is great. Not that I think a release on PC should always be first priority because PC is the uber pwnzor or whatever, but simply because I feel when you are going to release a game on a platform, you should simply make sure you'll do it right http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I like PC and all but I like console games not as much moding & cheating. As a PC & consoles are cheaper & you dont alway have to worrie about ur spec's of your system. A PC u do, but I would like to see console games like shooter compatible with mouse & keyboard on a console & with a map editor.

Something else that be cool is make the editor work on so u can build it on PC & play it one Xbox 360 & Playstation 3!

I dont think thats the issue Brimtown.

Its like your trying to talk about how to build a igloo in Iceland and then some one comes in and starts talking how to build a Millennium Dome in Central London. Both are trying to achieve the same goal, make a dome building, but the methods, materials, experience, issues to overcome and solutions are completely different.

The wishes and desires of Console users and PC users are black and White, there are no shades of grey. Yes we can and should be civil towards one another though.

Personally I welcome any version as it pumps money into the Publisher and developer keeping the Games Industry alive
