Hi !

I own now GF3/64/Gainward card and quite happy with it
(1024x768/32 AMD 1700XP ,512DDR ram = 28 - 30fps) on small
maps.

I have all settings high except for that one perfect...

Now I'am intrested in getting a GF4 card and my Q. is:

would I be able to turn ALL settings to max with GF4
(on 1024/768/32 res.)

or could somenone with GF4 tell is it and how much satisfied with that card

tnx. for any RPL

You will get more FPS, but I dont think you will be able to run in perfect.

Best regards.

If you want perfect landscape you need Radeon 9600(pro)or better ,Or (FX 5400 i think), But you could try overclocking that Gainward GF3 they should be quite good fo that. And maybe more RAM 256-512 Mb ?

i had a g4 ti 4200 and thay are good cards but in the 150. to 2.00 doller rang i would go with a ati 9500pro or 9600pro i swetch to a 9500pro and it is better than the g4 and much better when aa is cut up

I'am a bit sceptic to radeon cards ... all of my frends have said to me it only makes problems .... maybe it is becouse ATI haven't got the good driver ?

I had I think Rad.7500/32MB for very short time (1 day)
and put back imidiatly my old GF2MX400 as it was much Better ... than Rad.

U realy think that I would be happier with Rad.9500 , is that better than GF in these days?

chears

i heard the same thing about prob. with ati but so far iv tried it with all my current games and have no problems but i cant say if ati is a better company than nvidea as im new to pcs but i can say that i am very happy with my 9500pro it performs a good bit better than my g4 did. best thing you could do is read some reviews on diff cards and compare benchmark test that way you will know for sure and knowing is half the battle........uhm sorry i had a G.I JOE flash back lol
