I just beat the game as the Na'vi, and want to play through as an RDA now.
Will starting at the "choice" checkpoint overwrite my Na'vi save file or will it open a new one?

of coursee yoyu open a new file. because you start a new game with a new character.

The game creates the 'Choice' save file when your about halfway down the Warriors Path when following Harper, its a new separate save profile and what you do with it won't effect your original in any way.
You only get one per character sadly, so you can't keep loading it to skip the start on further playthroughs.

So I beat the RDA campaign, how exactly should I go about playing as Na'vi campaign now w/out losing my RDA campaign save?

Load your checkpoint save and then shoot the RDA soldiers at the Choice.
Your RDA save wont get overwritten. Ive done it now and can confirm.

Thanks for the reply. I don't quite know what you mean by checkpoint save. I am given the options to "Continue" or "New Game".

Chibi, Avatar auto-saves a checkpoint for "The Choice." In order to access it, you would choose "Continue" and there should be a character listed as "Checkpoint: The Choice" (auto-saved just before you chose your faction). You can select this save and choose the other faction and play through the game without worrying about your previous save (since they are differentiated by faction choice).
