My first attempt...

Hi people,

I cobbled this together today:

It's far from perfect, but since I'm not planning on releasing it, it doesn't need to be. If you can tell what it's supposed to be, it's done its job http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

What I thought would be a relatively quick and easy job actually turned out to be quite a long process. I just used the void (with a lot of trial and error!), as I didn't have a clue how to use the psd template. Any tips here?

Thanks for the kind words http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. I've always been keen on the fleet air arm colour scheme and have a soft spot for the sea hawk. Since there seems to be some interest, I might release it. Some work is needed to sort out things like yellow turbine blades though http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Hehe, carrier takeoffs clearly weren't going to happen. However, i managed to get it on the deck quite a few times. I found it best to keep the gear tucked up and take it in for a belly landing. Wasn't that the plan they had for the early jets anyway?

Trying to take off from a stationary carrier was where I went wrong. Takeoff and landing is no real hassle if you're steaming into a headwind. With an empty loadout. And 5% fuel...
