Please let there be a 3rd Person View..

I've been reading the forums for a while now..just make up my mind to register..just to vote for the 3rd person view..though all the reviews say this game is a 'First Person Shooter' game..come on guys..lets rally..
3rd person! 3 person! Hope i'm being noticed..LOL!

I can defitnetley agree with you on that one. 3rd person view allows you to see more of your enviroment which is good for a Horror - Survival game.

3rd person will ruin this game. Seeing the environment around you, will not make this a horror more or less. Obviously you don't know the meaning of "horror". Here's the definition from dictionary.com

"an overwhelming and painful feeling caused by something frightfully shocking, terrifying, or revolting; a shuddering fear: to shrink back from a mutilated corpse in horror."

3rd person will take away from the element of horror, and make it seemingly pathetic and not horrifying at all.

I see this more as a 3rd person game anyways. I was shocked when I read that it can be a 1st person shooter. What? Really? I think it would be so much better as a 3rd person. Gotta agree with the guy on observing your environment and what not agree 100% but to make this 1st person? just doesn't seem wise. Don't know why it just doesn't. Nett2307 I'm with you all the way 3RD PERSON!!! although to make everyone happy making the option of having either 1st or 3rd could be cool to. Get the best of both worlds yknow?
What I don't want is for controls to be different from 1st or 3rd. Don't really know why they would in the 1st place but HEY you never know game designers work hard for hours on end and they may not put as much time in one thing as they do the other....although this ubisoft lol they love us!!!
Also it could be a cool to challenge to beat the game in one mode and again in the other on a harder difficulty. Maybe I'm just too serious but whatever

In my opinion, making this game into a 3rd person would just completely de-validate it's feel.Having a FPS platform for this type of game is perfect because it gives the player a much more authentic interaction basis: Combat, environmental interaction etc. 3rd person games are clumsy and when you're fighting for your life , having your character plastered on the middle of the screen doesn't give you a very tactical advantage. It would take away so much of the games essence if it was made as a 3rd person. Lets keep it real as an FPS.

I vote for fp because seeing this type of environment with all of the destruction in first person is so bad *** and it would be a good experience to see from that character's point-of-view what happens throughout the story.
