the radio and gramaphone in sh4

Hello I'm new here and I have a question about the radio and gramaphone in sh4.Is it just me or anyone else notice when you play the game that the radio plays the same music and so does the gramaphone.Anyone know if and how to play more or different things on both of these?.Any info would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Chris Golden.

Music can be put directly in the Gramophone and/or radio station folders. It can be in .wav, .mp3, or .ogg format. But only those formats. Assuming you still have it, to hear music on the Washington station, just put some files in that folder. DON'T put it in the "Events" sub-folder as it won't play from there.

Be sure to read the readme files for the radio stations for installation instructions.

Others also have their own music and radio files. They may let you know about them here, or you can check out the forum at Subsim.com (http://www.subsim.com/). They have some listed too (free registration required to view mods thread).

thanks I tried to use the jsgme thing to load the captains midnight thing and the greenlamp and red hud thing but I don't have computor smarts when it comes to this kind of thing so I don't know what I can do unless someone can help me?.

perhaps in the next mod patch the deveoplers could include the captains midnight radio mod and the green lamp tool bar mod and the red hud gauges borders mod as well?.

What exactly are you having trouble with, or doing?

If you are not confident in using the jsgme in case something goes belly up you could always just place the wav. music or radio files into the gramaphone or radio folder in the game, there are plenty of broadcasts to choose from, like the zoot radio web site that could be saved and then placed into the relevent folders. You can even use your own CDs and have them playing if you convert the music to wav. Some people use movie theme music to set the scene others like me delve into their jazz and Big band collection and use them to set the scene..nothing beats Una Mae Carlise's 'Blitzkrieg Baby' with Lester Young on sax or hit them with Spike Jones's 'You're a sap mr jap'
