emperess first time problem

i can't beat her, she hits me even when i'm blocking first i only can take her some damage when i jump over her and hit her, but later in the fight she avoids me, very annoying http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

You are in the Throne Room fighting the Empress.
There are many discussion topics on this already.

Vaulting over her does not often work. She usually stabs the prince.
Blocking, attacking, and wall rebounds are best.
I often slow down time to just attack her quickly in a short period of time.

You often have time to break jars in the room to refill some of the prince's sand tanks.

I had a lot of trouble with this one too - it takes practice. She will usually block halfway through a combo, so do about three attacks then hop away, then run back in and attack again. Save your sand tanks for if she manages to unleash a combo on you, as she takes out about a quarter of your life with each one. Your health is more important than finishing the battle quickly, so just work on staying alive. Good luck!

thanks, but i've got a little problem.
I have not even 1 sandtank, and no health upgrade, no secondary weapon. I know there are sandtanks & sec. weapons in the throne room, but she always chases and kills me.

You should have at least three or maybe four sand tanks by then. If they are empty because you needed to rewind time or slow down time, I would suggest refilling the sand tanks.
I often return to the Garden Waterworks Tower Water Maiden Garden to fight the sand bandits there. Properly killing them will refill some of your sand tanks.
Drink from any water fountain to restore health.

You should not enter the Empress fight without the best health and sand tanks full.

There are several times during the Empress fight when you can run away from her long enough to explore the room for a couple of minutes.

I did it! The best trick is slowdown time.

Best way to defeat the empress: keep away from her all the time, she'll teleport next to you,
when the prince autofaces her just a moment after she teleports slash using the normal three hit combo, and move away as far as you can. REPEAT.

As for the sand monsters she summons vaulting kills them in two times.

Slow down time and slash away at her.
When her guards appear and you defeat them, grab their sand tanks to refill the sand tanks that you used.
Repeat.

Before leaving the room, break sand jars to replenish your sand tanks.

best way I found was to slow down time, and use the biggest combo as many times as you can whilst the slowdown is still running.
and the Imperial Guard people will die from an aerial vault and slash.. quite easy those things.

First get a secondary sword

Get as many sand tanks as you can ready for the first battle.

Keep a few steps out of her way when she tries her combo slow time, side step the combo and beat the hell out of her. If she goes to hit you whilst you are belting her, move to the side and keep belting her. keep doing the slow time immediately as the old one runs out and keep belting her.

Once the guards come, run around away from them (they are slow) and break as many vases as poss to build up your sands again. Get a new secondary weapon if your old one is wearing out.

Jump over guards and slash them from behind.

When round two starts repeat the first steps for round one.

The cinematic face-off number 2 will start, if dont have any sands and you think you have enough energy to to take a few hits and kill her with a few slashes LOSE the face off and she wont call more guards (Otherwise win it and get some sands from the guards). Slash her a few times and its game over Emperess.
