Battlefield 1942

Actually, all of us come from varied platforms and only 2 were hardcore xbox girls before. We all have most platforms available and play them all! As far as battlefiend goes for me, I haven't played it yet!

You'll be able to pick up quick. Think of SWBF and put it into WWII with Germans and Japanese and you'll have BF1942. The only difference is that BF1942 doesn't show you, by name anyway, what vehicles are available at the spawn point. Also you have a certain amount of time to choose a spawn point after you die. Otherwise it defaults you to your last spawn point unless it was captured by the opposing team. Otherwise game play is pretty much the same.

SWBF is much easier to play an BF1942 though, the guns take a little getting used to

True but one of the advantages in BF1942 is that you can pick up the gear from other people and change from a scout to a medic, for instance. I don't recall being able to do that in SWBF.

Some of the maps are pretty well suited for snipers. Which map is it, El Alamein where you have to defend 7 posts while the Germans try to take them from you and you can't take their post away?

Kursk on DC is good for Helicopter drop ins. Many a fun game was had hurtling headlong at the flag from above, snatching it, then running out to the airfield to jump in the passing helicopter.

Team work never felt so good.

Aderon, I have it on good authority that nVidia runs some 60 player DC servers and the ping from this here backwater to that there USA server hovers around 180.

Possibly my new favourite playground, but they are running DC 0.7, not final.

Ya I used to play on nvidia servers but I get 108 ping there and that's crazy! lol. Could you tell me what ping u get in "Moon Omaha Beach v1.6" or something like that. (just type in moon and update)

Only thing that holds Battlefield down is the absolutely contemptible infantry play. It's awful. Runs about as well as a 3 legged elephant with hypothermia. Other than that, great game. ;]

(quick sidenote - MoZ, you're in NCG? I played against some of your old crew ages ago in the first Return to Castle Wolfenstein tournament. Great group)
