I've seen the Tirpitz and Hipper in a task force once. Now, someone here mentioned that you can witness the sinking of Bismarck? It is year 1940 for me, and I hope I can make it there to see the action. Now, does anybody know the grid the battle takes place? If you do, I will check it out and write a detailed report http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Btw, is it in the same grid the single mission is based in?

You'll need May 1941, and 965km west of Brest. Not sure what grid that equates to.

In GWX-TA, I have made dots appear on the map with dates, from about one month or so in advance till the day after, so, if you wanna go, you can get there in time to witness or alter the battle...

In GWX I have been there and sunk both the Rodney and King George V in BE53 and have seen the Bismarck. May 27 8:00am NE corner.
Good hunting http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Yes, you'll be fine. It's OK if you change history a couple times. For instance, I believe the British only had 2 Nelson class battleships near British coast in the beginning of the war. But I sank 3 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif And I don;t regret it http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Does anyone have an exact grid? I think she was sunk up around Norway but I''m not sure. I remember seeing a picture of her in what looked to be an inlet area. I would like to think that SH3Gen would post it on the Map. I rolling back my patrols and deleting them so as to end up a little before 27 May 41. I figured it would be worth it.

Is this only in GWX or does it happen in the stock game as well?

Only in GWX. Stock game just has random probability of finding ships, but doesnt depict at all naval operations of the time, so Dunkirk and Normandie are missing.
