View Full Version : Nvidia Geforce 4 Go 440 64M

any chance of gettin far cry running on that? i have a packard bell laptop runnin the nvidia geforce 4 go 440 64mb graphics card with a p4 3.06 cpu and 1024mb ram. i think i have latest drivers n i have patched the game upto v 1.33.

when try to start it the little loading screen loads, then when it tries to go full screen it blips black then instantly flashes back to windows desktop!

help!!

doh! pain that cuz it runs everything else i throw at it pretty much!COD2 n 1/2 Life 2, even lost coast runs fine! never mind have to drag me desktop up from my old house to me new one!

already tried to play it matey, it just cuts back to windows straight away, even with everything turned down on the config menu! i was hopin for a few tips! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

i dont think inadequate vid card would cause the problem you described. i would expect that to cause some CEs when u actually start playing. try a reinstal of the game to see if you can at least get it to load. if you can get it to run, it WILL be a slide show even at low settings.

nope! tried reinstalling it n does the same! must be compatability issue with this particular mobile type gpu. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

try borrowing a good card from a friend and see if it will work.

lol, think u've missed the topic mate, its a laptop, graphics card is integral with the m/b!!cheers for the advice tho neway!

I have run Far Cry with Maximum features with Nvidia Geforce 440 AGPX or sth like that and it works. I think this is a close version with yours. My RAM is 256 and my processor is 1,806 GHZ. I think that it has to work on the laptop.

wow your processor is 1,086 ghz! thats alot, howdo you keep it from exploding and killing the whole family?
