The tilted UI seems to be confusing me a lot. Any way to change that? I didn't find anything in the settings.
I don't get why it's not straight. I often confuse the notes and play the ones after or before. Am i the only one who gets off by this? The angle makes it quite harder to figure out what note to play. Really don't see any advantage to it being like that.

I agree it makes it harder and sometimes makes me (and others) be off by 1 fret. The issue is that RB and GH already had the straight on highway and to have RS do the same they would have to pay money (royalties) to copy the same. Its like a patent kind of thing.
I agree thought I prefer straight on.

if its a patient problem, they at least should put the fret Numbers on the notes coming down, less mistakes made that way.

Honestly, I think it works better than the RB/GH alternative, which would be reading fret numbers on notes as they stream down.
Rocksmith's noteway always provides a steady frame of reference. Can you imagine doing large shifts across the fretboard if all you are given is a color and a number?
I've seen people work wonders with an RB3 Pro Guitar, but they're rhythm game gods to begin with. Rocksmith's just trying to teach you some songs, not determine who the biggest twitch gamer is.

agree sometimes the panning and zooming is hard to follow, though they've done a pretty good job. would be great to have an "angle option" choice feature, so you could have the default, or a fixed highway, or other alternatives available

One thing to keep note of when playing, is that when the notes are coming, there is a BLUE SHADE where you need to place your 4 fingers to cover the 4 frets the blue shade is referring too.
That BLUE SHADING helps me at least recognize the right fret cause the SHADE puts you in the general area.

Still confuses me. The shading is great to know where to put my hand. But i still miss the right fret way too often.

A full screen mode for people with big TV's would be cool. I would not mind seeing the whole neck, the whole time.
This obviously would not work on small screens however.
But no, it does not make me mad. :P

I'd be nice if they put fret numbers on the neck of the virtual guitar.
You know, where they would be if you put the fret number stickers on your guitar.
And yeah, I do make the mistake of playing a note on the next fret up because of the perspective too often. But I do figure it out eventually.

Figuring it out eventually shouldn't be the way to go. Intuitive from the start is what i'm usually looking for in a interface. Hopefully i'm not the only one who thinks that.

My experience with showing this game off to friends is that experienced guitar players find this interface to be extremely intuitive until you get above the 12th fret, and I tend to agree. The bottom guitar neck shows exactly where your fingers need to be before the notes hit, and you can usually see exactly what the intervals are and what scale/chord you're playing in/around.
I think the tilted UI's biggest failing is that it's too hard to tell the timing of anything not on the 1.

Agree entirely. For me, if it's not on the first or last string, i get confused quite easily. I'm most of the time on the right string because the string colors are doing an awesome job to guide me but i miss the correct fret most of the time by one(before or after).

I find the tilted perspective helps greatly when there is a steady stream of notes coming, especially chords. The only time I get slightly thrown is when the camera slides all the way down the neck, but that's is usually just me freaking out a little.

They could achieve the same result by looking at the highway with a higher camera looking a bit down. Which is what GH and RB are doing.

I agree 100%. I find myself leaning to the left hoping I can get a better angle on the frets. Not familiar with any of the other games mentioned (I'm a geezer)but this setup sure doesn't help.

I don't know if i lean when i play(probably) but thinking about it makes me lol.

I am fine with the angle, I just wish they would pick an angle and stick with it. The moving all over the place gets annoying.
But, I figure they are prepairing me to play like a real rockstar... Drunk!

Timing is a thing for me as well. I wish they had scrolled the note values and where they sit in the bar and on the staff somewhere. Oh well. It's a hoot anyway.

Agreed on the notes. I do also agree it might work well to have the fret numbers over the strings.

I hate the angle, and what I hate most about it is that it's not even reversed for left-handed playing. They took the time to make your Big Swing Baseball players left-handed if that's how you play, but they couldn't take the time to adjust the main chart of the game?

I disagree. Having numbers coming at me only reminds me how frustrating it is that the game doesn't have a tablature mode.

I agree, I miss notes when it get tilted, why not have a game option to disable tilt. I would rather play it with the notes coming down strait. but others may like tilting all over the place.
Shouldn't be to hard to add it to the options page.
