I'm a huge fan of HL2, Far Cry, Doom3. All fantastic games but for me Far Cry just wins out. I posted about this on the HL2.net forum hoping to start a discussion as to why & didn't get a very friendly response!

I think it's kind of sad that fans of one game are so hostile towards other games! I'm up for any game if it's good & I'm interested in what makes one game different/better to another of the same genre. half life 2 servers are better then ubi servers , little lag on hl2 servers. Mega lag on far cry's ubi servers, so bad sometimes the game is unplayable. i like the game far cry better then hl2 , but the support from ubi is pathetic.

Well, I'm not sure why you expected anything less than a stone throwing party. You would get the same thing here if you came in talking about how Doom3 or HL2 is so much better than FarCry.

Fact is, some people like HL2 better than FC and some people (with great taste) like FC over all others. Not sure why you would post in another games forums about why you thought FC was better, obviously they don't care, just like we wouldn't care for the same from any other group.

I didn't think those guys were all that wrong in their repsonses. It's kind alike when I was over in the Doom3 forums and people hung around all the time talking about how much they hated Doom3.
