When did you first get into stealth?

I'm just wondering when your interest in stealth started.

For me, it was when I watched Die Hard (sometime in the 90's...I was pretty young when it first came out). I loved the idea of sneaking around the building (in bare feet, no less), and taking out the bad guys one by one. As far as games go, it'd have to be Manhunt. After playing that game I dove right into the genre, got Thief and the Splinter Cells, and have been playing them very happily ever since.

Summer of 1999. I'd bought my first computer in over 10 years a few months prior, and upgraded the sound card for it. The sound card came bundled with this little game - Thief: The Dark Project. I was hooked.

I use to play Metal Gear Solid for hours on end on the PS1, afterwards I got Substance and SC and fell in love with the whole stealth feel.

Well, it was when I first played MGS1 I think it was around 2000-2001. I cant really remember what year. But it was from that game on the original Playstation.

Playing Rainbow Six when I first got it, then Rogue Spear. I loved having to sneak into places to plant bugs and cameras.

Back when I knew I would get in trouble for stealing cookies out of the cookie jar, I learned to sneak into the kitchen very quietly. Then I adapted that into video games such as Commander Keen (early '90s side-scroller) and Halo.

Rainbow 6 on Dreamcast. Woo! Then SC1 on XBox three summers ago... I LOVED it then got PT and CT... I was utterly disappointed by PT but was blown away by CT.
