Couldnt find this problem solved anywhere, so here it is. As the title says my game is not running smoothly, even my computer matches or is better than all of recommended requirements but sound processor (I think it has no effect tho, since putting sound and music totally off has no effect). Changing resolution or any other video options in game have no effect. I read somewhere that the problem might be the video card or the drivers? Im not a genious with computers (and my english is'nt so good as you can read) so should I try downloading (specific instructions 4 this please :S http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ) latest video drivers? My video card is ATI RADEON XPRESS 200 SERIES (0x5A61) 256 MB.

Feel free to give any advice you have in mind. And thanks in forehand (Sorry for bad english)

Try this. Go to www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php (http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php) download the pc wizard program, run it and then tell me what it says for your video card

Ok I have done a little checking and the bottom line if I am right, is, it would appear your computer does not have an AGP video card in it. That 256mb of Ram you keep seeing based on the information I can find is integrated onto the Mother Board. On board video is not sufficient to run this game or most for that matter. Now the good news is this. AGP cards can be pick up pretty cheaply now a days. The Minimum spec for this game as per the official site is An AGP card with at least 128mb of ram. If your uncertain as to what I have been able to find out, remove the case siding and there will likely be a (brown coloured?) main board slot for an AGP video card which I'm guessing will be empty or even better you can confirm this through the dealer that sold you your computer. I am no expert when it comes to computers so please follow this up on your own and let me know if you can whether I was right or not. GL

Thanks for information!
Im not sure If I want to spend money on this new card (since I got HoMM V as a present) I'll just wait for new updates since anyone else with XPRESS 200 series cant get it run smoothly either, maybe it will be repaired in the next update http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Thx for your help again!

np..however I would if I was you check out my findings because if I'm right on board video will probably always cause you gaming problems besides it seems a shame to have a game you can't run properly. It is unlikely to be fixed as they would need to, as I understand it, make the game run for weaker video systems. The problem with on board video is that it has to share resources with all other computer processes
