I post to several other boards and was hoping to post up an official date that the GRAW demo is going to be released. Has there been any information as to when the demo is going to be released?

I apologize if this has already been answered...

Nope...never...hasn't happened...and probably wont.

But what does that matter, the game shall be here in only 2 weeks.

I hope there will be a demo cause it will confirm me if my computer will be able to run smoothly this game. Otherwise, I wont be sure to buy that game

It does matter. I, among many others, will base their purchasing decision on the demo. This is why I ask...

I'll play it when there's more than one m/p gametype. And for the record Coop isn't really m/p.

um.... mp stands for multiplayer and since co-op lets 4 people play together im asuming it is multiplayer... thats like saying gas isnt gas because its coming in a green barrel not a black one

I dont consider Coop MP either. I call it Coop. Because you arent playing against other players, just AI. Technically it is MP but when people generally say MP they mean PvP. Coop is PvT. Thats why GRIN says "Only 1 MP mode - Domination"

You are correct, COOP is multi-player, but it's a game mode all to its own. Multi-player to me means, X humans behind a PC vs. another X humans behind a PC. It's the only MP I consider genuine MP.

That's what I meant too. Sorry for the confusion.

Cooperative is MULTIplayer since there is MULTIPLE players. Just co-op isn't adversarial multiplayer which you guys seem to want, why cant we be friends? Must you shoot the others? Didn't your mother ever tell you to play nice? Regardless the adversarial modes seem limited, though in GRIN's defense in most FPSs that offer umpteenth adversarial modes most people only play one or two of em (usually team deathmatch and whatever the objective based mode is called in the game in question).

Also they said they'd add TDM later on, so meh. Gives me time to enjoy the single player and the co-op, plenty of time to kill other players later. Besides who knows maybe GRIN's included adversarial mode will be cool and fun, put it this way as tactical shooters go what else is there? Lockdown?

Take it to the bank, there will be no demo until atleast a week after the game comes out. I bet two weeks after the game comes out.

Picture this, if the demo comes out before the game comes out, and it sucks, who is going to run to the store and buy it?

Now, you run to walmart, buy your game, spend 50 bucks, and try it out. If you dont like the game, too bad, cant get your 50 bucks back.

Too risky to take a gamble on people not liking the demo.

Or people will play the demo, like it and then buy it on release. Ubi Soft is usually good for releasing demos pre-release. I trust they will continue the trend with GRAW, I see no reason not too.

There are also those who wont buy unless they try a demo first. That and suckering people into buying a product just because they cant try it first is a good way to lose customer faith, better to let them try it before buying and not like it then have them spend money and not like it.

The latter may be better in the short term, but unsatisfied customers are bad in the long term.

If I like the demo I'll buy it, If there is no demo I'll put on my eyepatch and take out my parrot. Well, maybe I won't, but other scurvy dogs will.

My copy is reserved at Gamestop. It'll sit there a couple of weeks before I make a decision. It was only 5 bucks to hold it, and it's completely refundable if I change my mind.

I can't lose either way.

Gotta agree with urban violence there.
The developers seemes proud over what they have done. It would be weird if they made a highly anticipated game to be so rothen that they would scare people away. Demo's are made too tease people into buying it. And I think it will do just that. From what I have read about the game the last year, it will be freaking fantastic.
I still belive so...

Seriously though, I need my fix!

I made the mistake of watching the Unit and Tears of The Sun this week and dammit, putting my ******ed teammates in R6 Lockdown in jungle camo and giving them XM8 variants is NOT what I want to be doing!

In the name of all things holy, give me a one level of SP and one of MP to keep me going for the next few weeks!!!

I beg to differ on the "Co-op isn't MP" line of thought. Even the first 'Multiplayer' shooters included Co-op as an MP mode. Multiplayer isn't exclusively adversarial, it just means that players can connect via a network or the internet and play together, regardless of which mode it is.

For a historical perspective see the following quote from Wikipedia in regards to Doom:

Aside from the single-player game mode, Doom features two multiplayer modes playable over a network: "co-operative", in which two to four players team up against the legions of Hell, and "deathmatch", in which two to four players fight each other.
