Laptop Video issues!

I have a DELL Inspiron E1705 with an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400.

The game loads just fine... the issue is with game play. When I get into any mission, the seas become a bright green and the sun is a big black box with a white center. The game will be normal perhaps once in 10 attempts. When it runs properly, it is beautiful, the rest of the time it just disgusts me.

I have the latest drivers and have played with the ATI settings from High Performance to High Quality. It seems to make no difference.

Windows Vista Ultimate
ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 (using latest drivers from ATI)
2GB RAM

Any suggestions here?

Glad to hear there is a resolution to this issue.

Do you know if this is a game patch or what?
I am running the latest version of Silent Hunter III (v1.4b).

Does anyone else know of this patch?

Id like too ask. I just bought a laptop
Dell Inspiron 9400 Dual Core T5500 1.66 GHZ, Vista English Version, 1024 Ram, 120 GB Hard Drive, Ati Radeon X1400 256 MB. Is there any chance to play SH3 or SH4 on this laptop...Please reply if any one know the answer. Big thanks for help .
